How to use a quilling comb to create leaves or petals

In this blog and the next two blogs, I will to teach you how to use a quilling comb to create leaves or petals with an intricate look.

This is what a quilling comb looks like.  Personally, I like using a regular comb instead of the quilling comb.  Buy a comb that has sturdy teeth that don’t bend easily and that are slightly far apart.

We will start by making this simple but elegant looking shape.

Start by wrapping the paper on the first tooth of the comb.

Hold it steady as you wrap the paper around each subsequent tooth, each time going around the first tooth.

Continue this until you run out of paper.  Use your glue to affix the end.

Very gently, remove the shape from your comb making sure that it does not get untangled.

This shape is perfect to use as leaves for your flowers or embellishments for your art work.
