For this project, you will need:
1 skein Caron simply soft yarn in harvest red
Some caron simply soft yarn in green
5.00 mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Terms used in this pattern
MC- magic circle
Ch- Chain- YO hook. Draw yarn through the loop
Hdc- half double crochet- Yarn over and pull through chain. (3 loops on hook). Yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on the hook.
dc- double crochet- Yarn over and pull through chain. (3 loops on hook). Yarn over and pull through (2 loops on the hook).Yarn over again and pull through remaining 2 loops. One double crochet has been made
St- stich
Sl st- slip stitch- hook through the st. 2 loops on hook. Pull second loop through the first loop.
This project is created by holding two strands of the harvest red yarn together so that your coasters are nice and sturdy rather than flimsy and cheap looking
MC – ch 2
Round 1- 10 hdc in MC – ch 2
Round 2 – 2 dc in each dc – ch 2= 20dc
Round 3- (2dc, dc)X10 – 30 dc
Round 4- sl st 2, dc in 13 dc, sl st 2, dc in last 13 dc- sl st.
Cut off red yarn
Attach green yarn to make leaves
Ch 5
Sl st 2nd ch from hook, sc, hdc, dc, sl st on to the beginning of the leaf
You will now be working on the other side of the ch 4
Dc, hdc, sc ,sl st, sl st. cut and weave in ends
