Applique – Basket ball
For the basket ball, you will need
Caron simply soft pumpkin yarn
4.25 mm crochet hook
Caron simply soft green yarn
Tapestry needle
Black floss
MC – ch 2
Round 1- 10 sc in MC sl s tch 1=10
Round 2 –(sc inc) X10 each dc – sl s tch 1= 20sc
Round 3- (2sc, inc sc)X10 sl s tch 1– 30 sc
Round 4- (3sc, inc sc)X10 sl st– 40 sc
Round 5 – sl st in each st= 40 sl st
End . Cut off pumpkin yarn. Leave strand to attach to the block.
Using the floss, embroider as indicated.

Ch 12
Hdc in the second st from hook and 9 stitches after that = 10 hdc
Ch 8 ‘
Sl st in the 5th hdc from row 1
Ch 8
Sl st in the last hdc from row 1
Sc 6X in the first ch 8 sp.
Sl st in the middle sl st
sc 6X in the second ch 8 space.
Sl st in the first sl st.
End . Cut off pumpkin yarn. Leave strand to attach to the block.
