Here are the free patterns for this week. Hope you are all keeping up with the 26 week- 2 panels a week – 1 awesome project!!
For the applique, you will need:
Basic stitch lion brand grey
4.25 mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Black floss for eyes
MC – ch 2
Round 1- 10 hdc in MC . sl st – ch 2
Round 2 – 2 hdc in each dc . sl st– ch 2= 20hdc
Round 3- (2hdc, hdc)X10 . sl st ch 2– 30 hdc
Cut off yarn. Leave long strand to fasten to the block.
Ears – make 2
MC – ch 2
Round 1- 10 dc in MC . DO NOT sl st to close the circle. turn – ch 2
Round 2 – 2 dc in each dc . turn– ch 2= 20 dc
Round 3- (2dc, dc)X10 . turn.– 30 dc
Cut off yarn. Leave long strand to fasten to the head.
Trunk
Chain 15
Sc in the second ch and 10 more chains after that.
Sc in in the last 4 stitches.
Fasten. End . leave long strand to attach to head
Attach ears and trunk to the head
Using black floss, embroider eyes on either side of the trunk.
Letter E
Ch 11
Sc in the second ch from hook
Ch 5
Sc in the second ch from hook and 4 more ch. Sl st to the base.
Fasten. Cut.
Attach yarn to bottom of the first ch 11
Ch 6
Sc in the second ch from hook and 4more ch. Sl st to base of E.
Sc going up 4 sc.
Ch 6
Sc in the second ch from hook and 4more ch. Sl st to base of E.
sc going up 3 more times and slip stich in the base.
Fasten. Cut. Leave a long strand f or attaching to the block.
