Spinner

Start the spinner with a chain.  This chain can be as long or as short as you want it to be.  I wanted a long spinner, so I started with ch 101

Start with beige

Row 1 – sc in the second ch and each ch thereafter. Turn, ch 1 = 100 sc

Row 2 – sc in each sc. Turn.  = 100 sc

Change color to red – ch 2

Row 3 – 2 dc in each sc. Turn ch 2 = 200dc

*Note: your work will start curling.  That is OK.  We will fix it at the end

Row 4- 3dc in each dc. Turn. change color back to beige= 600dc

Row 5- sc in each dc. Fasten. Weave in ends. = 600 sc

Take your time and un-curl the spinner by creating a circular base and following it to unravel.

Tie

Use beige or red

Ch 23

Row 1 – hdc in the 3rd ch from hook and all ch thereafter = 20 hdc. Fasten.

Attach tie to the center of one end of the spinner

Tassel.

Use a box or any other surface to roll your yarn around about 50 times

Use a strand of yarn and go through the top of the roll of yarn and tie it securely.

Using sharp scissors, cut the bottom end of the roll of yarn.

Use another strand of yarn and tie it about ½ inch from the top of the tassel.

Using scissors, trim the bottom to look even.

Using tapestry needle and another strand of yarn. Add wooden beads if desired. Attach the tassel to the bottom of the spinner.
