Applique – House

For the applique, you will need:

Caron simply in red, grey and aqua

4.00 mm crochet hook

Tapestry needle

Roof

With red

Ch 12

Row 1 – hdc in the 2nd ch from hook and 10 more hdc – turn – ch 2=10 hdc

Row 2 – hdc tog- 6 hdc- hdc tog – turn – ch 2 = 8 hdc

Row 3 – Hdc tog – 4 hdc- hdc tog – turn – ch 2 = 6 hdc

Row 4 – Hdc tog – 2 hdc- hdc tog – turn – ch 2 = 4 hdc

Row 5 – Hdc togX 2– ch 1 = 2 hdc.

Sc 7 times evenly going diagonally down one side of the roof, sc 8X in the base of the triangle, Sc 7 time going up diagonally going up the other side of the triangle.

Fasten

Base of the house

With grey

Ch 12

Row 1 – hdc in the 2nd ch from hook and 10 more hdc – turn – ch 2=10 hdc

Row 2 – 5  – hdc in each hdc.  Turn – ch 2 – 10 hdc

Fasten and end.

Door

With aqua

Ch3 – sc in the second ch from hook and other 2 sc.

Fasten and end.

Attach the door and roof to the base of the house and attach the house to the block.

LETTER H

Make 2 in aqua

Ch 12 – hdc in the second ch and 9 more ch. End fasten

Make 1

Ch 6 – hdc in second ch 5. fasten

Place the two vertical long pieces with the horizontal short piece on your block and hold securely with pins.  Using a tapestry needle, sew the letter on to the block.
